Lott of Love | Southern Utah Family Photographer

I always love getting to meet brand new clients!  And I like it even more when we “click!”  It’s sort of like a first date.  All the excitement and butterflies, wanting them to like you, and to like them in return, getting to know each person, their likes and personalities.  It’s all just so exciting.

The Lott family is the first brand new client of this year!  They were the perfect clients and have the greatest story.  We shot these photos to update their profile as they prepare to start their 3rd adoption process!!  I am so excited to know them, and can’t wait until the day they get to welcome their new little one into their home.

Little Miss and I became fast friends, and though it took Little Mister a tiny bit longer, we ended up buddies too!  I absolutely love them!  And their parents aren’t too bad either;)

My Favorite Image {for a chance to win}

A few months ago I came across a photographer’s image that took my breath away, I immediately began cyber-stalking her photography & personal pages on Facebook.  That photographer is Blush Photography, and she is simply one of the most talented women ever!  Her work with film is absolutely amazing, she has mastered the perfect black and white…I could go on and on.

Not too long ago I messaged her asking if she did workshops, and she does!  With Rapture, isn’t that a fantastic name?? And even better, she’s giving away a seat in the next workshop!!!  I would consider selling my first born to attend the workshop, but it would be better if I could win a spot since I’m a little attached to him.

So for a chance I am sharing my favorite image of all time, which luckily for me means the past year!  There are so many images from this first year of my business that I love, not because they are technically perfect {because they aren’t} but because I got to make wonderful memories with so many of my clients while taking their pictures!!

The image I chose is from my very first wedding, EVER.  This gorgeous couple took a big leap of faith by hiring me to capture their big day, and for that I will always be grateful.  I love this image for so many reasons, I love the light that was just starting to peek over the top of the temple.  I love the texture of the building.  I love his hands clasped on the small of her back so securely, and hers holding tight to his arm, like they will never let go.  Looking at them makes you remember {and long for} the bliss of your wedding day!

Happy Birthday {Colt} | Southern Utah Child Photographer

How cute is this guy?  I spent the entire session just wanting to kiss his lips!  He wasn’t too sure about me and my camera at first, but soon enough he got used to me I guess, and then his cute little personality came out.  Colt is all boy for sure.  He had a great time playing in the dirt and eating rocks.  YUMMY!!  And man can this kid crawl!  I seriously have NEVER in my life seen a crawler move so fast!  Good thing his mom is a runner!
